Delano "Lane" Pinkerman

Delano "Lane" Pinkerman, 87, of Cheshire, OH, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, OH. He was born January 5, 1934, in Greenbottom, WV, a son of the late Edgar L. "Red" Pinkerman and Donna (Scarberry) Pinkerman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Roach, Faye Long and Vada Benedict. Lane was a member of the Cheshire Baptist Church and had retired from Kaiser/Century Aluminum with 37 yrs. service as a crane operator. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Claudette (Prichard) Pinkerman of Cheshire; a son, Rick L. (Sandy) Pinkerman of Salem, VA; two daughters, Tami L. (Jon) Thompson of Cheshire and Linda G. (Kenny) Barnes of Roanoke, VA; a sister, Katherine "Katie" Kinney of Groveport, OH; and one brother, Alva (Phyllis) Pinkerman of Greenbottom. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Jeremy Barnes, Kimberly Cunningham, Ricky (Phuong) Pinkerman, Josh (Jennifer) Pinkerman, Abbey (Steve) Turner and Jesse (Erin) Thompson; and seven great-grandchildren, Kennedy Pinkerman, Delaney Pinkerman, Ellie Pinkerman, Kinsley Pinkerman, Kylie Pinkerman, Clay Thompson and Layne Turner. A private funeral service will be Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Jim Williams and Pastor Duane Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Cheshire, OH. A memorial service for Lane will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cheshire Baptist Church Food Pantry, 8047 St. Route 7 North, Cheshire, OH 45620.
