Rex Allen Sayre

Rex Allen Sayre, 64, of Point Pleasant, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. He was born November 23, 1957, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Jasper A. Sayre and Montrie Helen (Thomas) Sayre. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Angel Gail Sayre. Rex was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, served his country in the United States Marine Corps and a member of the Asbestos Workers Local 207 of New Haven, WV. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Leach) Sayre of Point Pleasant; fiancee, Joyce Neal of Point Pleasant; sons, Justin C. (Elizabeth Ann) Sayre of Point Pleasant and Donald (Jessica) Leach of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Kyleigh Leach and Gavin Leach both of Point Pleasant; and a special friend, Tommy Rogers. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Sylvia Plants officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home.
