Allie Shawn Crawford

Allie Shawn Crawford, 47, of Apple Grove, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.

She was born January 4, 1977, in Gallipolis, OH, a daughter of William "Bill" W. Crawford and Margaret Jean (Teter) Crawford of Apple Grove.

Allie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Allie Crawford Oliver; and a brother-in-law, J.D. Adkins.

Allie was a member of Ashton Baptist Church in Ashton, WV.  She was a graduate of Hannan High School Class of 1995 and Marshall University. Allie had previously worked as a Victims Advocate for the Mason County Courts.

She is survived by her parents, Bill and Margaret Crawford; a daughter, Jesslyn Kennedy Crawford of Apple Grove; sisters, Becky Adkins of Apple Grove, Jeanie (Eric) Sturgeon of Ashton and Kim (Jeff) Roach of Point Pleasant; special nephews, Cody Canterbury, Ryan Canterbury and Jesse Crawford; a special friend, Tim Lee; and several additional nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2024, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Brian May and Pastor Ronald Long officiating.  Burial will follow at the Teter-Crawford Cemetery in Point Pleasant.  Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
