Anna Lee Smith

Anna Lee Smith, 82, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. She was born June 23, 1932, in Southside, WV, a daughter of the late Earnest Wears and Sally (Siders) Wears. Anna Lee was a member of Bellemead United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant. She had been co-owner of Smiths Plumbing and Heating in Point Pleasant, graduated from Point Pleasant High School Class of 1949, was a member of the Order of Eastern Star No. 75 of Point Pleasant, and also a member of the Pilot Club and Quilters Guild of Point Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dreama LaDonna Smith; one son, John Ricky Smith; and a sister, Bertie Catherine Woodard. She is survived by her husband, John J. Smith of Point Pleasant; a daughter, Kathy Lee Smith of Point Pleasant; one granddaughter, Angela (Sam) Moats of Winchester, VA; and a brother, Earl Wears of Des Moines,IA. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, December 22, 2014, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Chip Bennett officiating.
