Arthur Henry Eads Jr.

Arthur Henry Eads Jr., 79, of Fair Grove, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at the Jacob's Ladder, End of Life Care Home in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born June 11, 1944, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Arthur Henry Eads and Madeline Laverna (McConihay) Eads.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Paul W. Eads and Ray E. Eads.

Arthur was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1962 and the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He served his country in the United States Army and retired as an airplane pilot with Central Air in Kansas City, Missouri.

He is survived by a stepson, Christopher (Deborah) Baxter of Trimble, MO; step-grandchildren, Ashley and Zavian Baxter of Trimble; a brother, John D. Eads of Point Pleasant; nephew, Joseph Eads of Beach Park, IL; great nephew, Joseph Eads of Beach Park; and several cousins in the Point Pleasant area.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor John McConihay officiating.  Burial will follow at Greer Cemetery in Point Pleasant, with military graveside honors given by the Army Honor Guard and Stewart-Johnson VFW Post 9926 of Mason. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
