Audrey Jean Boling

Audrey Jean (Edmonds) Cornell Boling, 73, of Ashton, WV, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her residence.

She was born January 15, 1953, in Ashton, WV, a daughter to the late Samford Staten Edmonds and Kathlene (Meadows) Edmonds.  In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her first husband, Danny Cornell; son, Daniel Richard Cornell; brothers, James, Franklin and Paul Edmonds; sisters, Margaret States and Phillis Parsons.

Jean was a member of Balls Chapel Church, Ashton, WV, a graduate of Hannan High School Class of 1971 and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of twenty nine years, William "Bill" W. Boling of Ashton, WV; two children, Daniel Todd Cornell and Bralynn Renee Cornell of Ashton, WV; two grandchildren and spouses, Ashley and Justin Smith and Shane and Kayla Cornell; five great grandchildren, Payton Waugh, Daxton Waugh, Natley Cornell, Tayley Cornell and Kinsley Cornell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Brenda Edmonds of Milton, WV and Woodrow and Dottie Edmonds of Lesage, WV; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille Barker of Guyandotte, WV, Mable Gorrell of Ravenswood, WV, Bonnie and Keith Winters of Ashton, WV and Denny Parsons of Ashton, WV; special people in Jean's life, Joyce Helen Edmunds, Tish Heaberlin and Lottie Estep, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Darren Ellis officiating. Due to weather and road conditions, burial will follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Balls Chapel Cemetery in Ashton, WV, weather permitting. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service on Sunday, at the funeral home.
