Barbara Ann Blain, 74, of Gallipolis Ferry, went home to be with her Lord Friday, January 22, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born September 28, 1941, in Cedar Grove, WV, a daughter of the late Arnett Bonecutter and Ruth V. (Tucker) Bonecutter. Barbara was a member of Pleasant View Church at Gallipolis Ferry. She loved her church family and was a true woman of God. Her passions were singing in the church choir and doing activities with her woman's group. Barbara and Larry are known for their big hearts and their big family dinners. She loved to cook for her family, gardening, going to the flea markets and sending cards to shut-ins. She was always thinking of others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Casto; and brother, Paul Bonecutter. She is survived by the love of her life of 56 years, who took very good care of her during her illness, Larry R. Blain of Gallipolis Ferry; one son, Doug (Nina) Blain of Crown City, OH; a daughter, Dianna (Billy Beckner) Blain of Gallipolis Ferry; grandchildren, Cassie (Justin) Beckner, Aaron, Abraham, Noah and Ezra Blain; great-granddaughter, Josie Blain Beckner, brothers and sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Ted Nance and Pastor Howard Blain officiating. Burial will follow at Apple Grove Memorial Gardens in Apple Grove. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Wednesday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Abraham Blain, Noah Blain, Ezra Blain, Billy Beckner, Justin Beckner, and Sean Meeks.
