Barbara Jean Dunlap

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Dunlap, age 85, of Point Pleasant, WV, who passed away October 25, 2026 surrounded by her daughter and son.

Barbara was born on April 1,1941 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania to the late William and Mary Miller.

Barbara retired from Holzer Clinic after 30 plus years in healthcare and attended the First Church of God in Point Pleasant, WV.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by husband, Eugene Dunlap; son, Brad Minton; step daughter, Janeen Dunlap and brother, Steven Miller.

She is survived by daughter, Julie Newman of Point Pleasant, WV; son, Jay (Susie) Minton of Huber Heights, OH; daughter in law, Tammy Minton of Morgantown, WV and step son, Mike (Beth) Dunlap of Farmers Branch, Texas. Mawmaw is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa (Chris) Barnett, Tracey (Shawn) Cline, Shad (Shana) Roberts, Ashley Guy, Sarah Henderson (Paul), Katie (Mark) Johnson, Molly Minton, Cody (Catie) Dunlap, McCrae (Elizabeth) Dunlap and Melodie Leach; great grandchildren, Bailey, Delaney, Emily, Gavin, Jake, JJ, Paige, Declan, Mila, Sean and Colt; brother, Jack (Sherry) Miller of Point Pleasant, WV; sisters, Phyllis (George) Hesson of Point Pleasant, WV, Carolyn Rhodes of Point Pleasant, WV and  Pat Mitsoyianis of Beckley, WV and multiple loving nieces and nephews.

She is also resting in peace with her loving fur companion, Douglas.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Matt Brown officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God, 2401 Jefferson Ave, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.
