Barbara (Nutter) Brown, 67, of West Point, VA, formerly of Gallipolis, OH, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at her home. She was born September 15, 1947, at Gallipolis, OH, a daughter of the late George J. and Bonnie (Roberts) Nutter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Brown. Barbara was a proud native of Henderson, WV. She was the welcomed fourth child of Bonnie and George Jr. Nutter after three boys. After attending Point Pleasant High School, Barbara made many fond memories while working in the offices of Holzer Hospital. However, her most loved job was being a wife, mom, and Nana. She was a woman with a big heart who had many friends in Mason and Gallia Counties and West Point, VA, and of course on Facebook. She loved helping others by serving in the kitchen during church activities and delivering Christmas gifts and food to the needy. Shopping for angel tree gifts was a cherished event for her each year. She is survived by her two daughters, Mia Young Patterson of Gallipolis, OH, and Paula Brown Polcyn and husband Chris of West Point, VA; three brothers and their wives, Nelson and Vivian Nutter of Hillsboro, OH, Tom and Marcella Nutter of Virginia Beach, VA, and Terry Nutter of Point Pleasant; three grandchildren, Jessica Patterson Fulks, Bonnie Polcyn and Vincent Polcyn; one great-grandchild, Kennidy Fulks; two step-children, Danita Brown Corbin and Jerry Brown Jr., along with numerous nephews and nieces. In addition, she will be missed by her loving canine companion Lucky as well. A graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Saint Louis Catholic Cemetery in Gallipolis, OH, with Father Tom Hamm officiating.
