Beverly Ann Buckle

Beverly Ann Buckle, 69, of Apple Grove, WV, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV.

She was born February 1, 1957, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Glenn Russell and Betty Jo (Finley) Shank. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bryan Keith Buckle; stepmother, Nell Shank and nephew, Chad Brodsky.

Beverly was a 1975 graduate of Hannan High School and a member of Mount Union Church of Pliny, WV. Beverly was a faithful and active member of the Wohelos Community Educational Outreach Service Club for 45 years. As a member of the WVU Extension Service Club, she was involved in community service and lifelong learning for herself and others.

She served on numerous committees for the county and held several club offices, most recently, a club president. Bev was a gold medal card person. Numerous people have received the most thoughtful and lovely cards from her through the years, just to let others know she was thinking of them. Bev was also a very thoughtful club member, bringing something to brighten the day at each meeting. She was a master decorator for the club’s luncheons and special occasions. She was a wonderful cook, and all enjoyed her contributions to our get togethers. Her salad dressing will be a staple for years to come. She was one of the most willing people, ever! She stepped into office to keep the club from folding and lead so very well. We will all miss her but are happy she is at rest. We love you, Bev!

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Mike K. Buckle; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Ashley Buckle of Apple Grove; grandchildren, Anna Grace Buckle of Southpoint, OH, Connor Lee Buckle of Apple Grove, Mya Dawn Buckle of Apple Grove; sister, Melba Lynn Shank of Tampa, FL; brother, Gregory Alan Shank of Huntington, WV and two nephews, Jarrod Brodsky of Los Angeles, CA, John Luca Harris of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by additional family members and friends.

Service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Mount Union Church, Pliny, WV, with Pastor John Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Beale Chapel Cemetery, Apple Grove, WV. Friends may visit the family from 11 a.m. until time of the service on Thursday, at the church.
