Brenda Lee Hoffman

Brenda Lee Hoffman, 50, of Letart, WV, died Friday, November 7, 2014, at her home. She was born December 16, 1963, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Leslie Raymond Saxton and Bessie Elizabeth Caroline (Gardner) Saxton. Brenda was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post No. 23 of Point Pleasant. She was a former employee of Powell's Foodfair in Pomeroy, where she was the deli manager. She is survived by her husband, Danny Hoffman of Letart; four children, Rory Joseph (Rowena Lim) Butcher of Los Angeles, CA, Selena Hoffman of New Haven, Daniel (Vera) Hoffman of Franklin, NC, and Joseph Hoffman of Mason. Also surviving are two sisters, Henrietta (Charles) Hysell of Cheshire and Ruth Sims of Gallipolis; three brothers, Billy (Sherry) Saxton of Gallipolis, Homer Saxton of Cheshire, and Leslie Saxton of Cleveland; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Visitation will be Monday, November 10, 2014, from 1-3 p.m., at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. A graveside service and burial will follow Monday, after visitation at the Hoffman Cemetery in New Haven, with Pastor Jonathan Pinson officiating.
