Brett Alan Jones

Brett Alan Jones, 57, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026.

He was born February 15, 1969, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of Amy Deloris (Higginbotham) Jones and the late James Edward “Eddie” Jones. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard “Rich” Jones.

Brett graduated from Point Pleasant High School, class of 1987. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Point Pleasant, and previously attended the Oak Crest Church of God in Muskegon, MI, while living there. Brett had previously worked as a Furnace Operator at Felman Production, Inc, Asimco, and Helig Meyers. He coached girls basketball at Point Pleasant High School, served as a Biddy League Coach and was very active in sports.

Survivors in addition to his mother, include his loving wife of 32 years, Paula J. (Spencer) Jones; children, Brett “Alan” Jones II, Kimberly Ann Jones, Andrew Ryan Jones, all of Point Pleasant; brother, James E. “Jim” Jones of Point Pleasant; sister, Betty Ann (Richard) Lapointe of Nashua, New Hampshire; sister-in-law, Kathy Jones of Myrtle Beach, SC and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV.
