Carol Lee Jones, 85, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, made her peaceful journey home on March 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Carol was born February 21, 1941, at Holzer Hospital in Gallipolis, Ohio, the daughter of the late Captain Gilmon Grimm and Maude Agatha Grimm.

Carol graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1959, where she was chosen as Homecoming Queen and led her Alma mater as Drum Majorette. That same year she married her sweetheart, Daniel Isaac Jones, on July 26, 1959, beginning a life built on love, family, and deep roots in the community she cherished. Carol had a heart for people and a passion for serving others. She faithfully served as a member of the Point Pleasant City Council for 16 years, always believing that a community grows stronger when people care for one another. She worked tirelessly to help make her hometown a better place to live and was known for her willingness to listen, encourage, and stand up for what mattered. Beyond her service, Carol was someone who made a house feel like home. She loved gardening and filling her yard with beautiful flowers, a reflection of the care and attention she gave to everything around her. She was honored many times with the community’s “Yard of the Month.” Friends and family knew her kitchen as a place of warmth and hospitality.
