Charles William "Bill" Durst, 87, of Letart, WV, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, surrounded by his loved ones at home. He was born May 7, 1925, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Charles Henry Durst, and Marie (Flowers) Durst. Bill was a member of Fisherman's Net Ministry where he supported his wife's ministry. He was a life long dairy farmer, an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, and was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1943. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bill Rawson who was like his brother. Bill is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, and the first couple married in the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church on April 19, 1964, Reverend Annetta J. (Dewees) Durst. He is also survived by a son, Charles "Randy" Durst and wife Susan of Point Pleasant; one daughter, Emma Kincaid and husband Mark of West Columbia; grandsons, Caleb and Joshua Durst, Mark II, Matthew, and Andrew Kincaid, and #1 granddaughter, Kristen Durst. Also, surviving are one brother, Ralph Durst and wife Nellie of Letart; two sisters, Donna Rawson of Point Pleasant and Rose Baker and husband, Dwight of Letart; and special family friends, Richard and Nancy Hern who were always willing to help with his care. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Reverend Nancy Hern officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
