Charles Henry "Sluggo" Oliver

Charles Henry “Sluggo” Oliver, 86, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at home.

He was born July 7, 1939, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late Pearl Clifford and Kathleen Violet (McCarty) Oliver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Lee Oliver, James William Oliver; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford “Mick” and Bonita Oliver and one sister, Margaret Casto- Madden.

Charles was a 1957 graduate of Point Pleasant High School. Following high school, he served in the United States Airforce and was a member of the American Legion Post #23, Point Pleasant, WV. Charles retired from the Carpenters Union Local 1159, Point Pleasant, WV, and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking trips to the mountains, and watching WVU Football and Point Pleasant High School Football games. Charles loved his family and spending time with all his friends.

Left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife and companion of 48 years, Diana and a large extended family and friends.

In honoring his wishes, there will be no public services at this time.
