Clarence "Butch" Greenlee

Clarence "Butch" Greenlee, 75, of Point Pleasant, went to his Heavenly home, Thursday, January 17, 2013. Butch was born August 16, 1937, in Point Pleasant to the late Clarence "Beans" Greenlee and Margaret (Cunningham) Greenlee. Butch attended Gallipolis Church of God of Prophecy, was an Army veteran, and had worked for Valley Bell Dairy and retired from American Electric Power as mail courier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Ronald Dean Rhea Jr; one sister, Donna Chapman; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Wilma Burris. Butch will be lovingly missed by his wife of 42 years, Pat Greenlee; son, Brian Greenlee of Sutton, WV; daughters who he raised and loved , Tary and Greg Powers of Point Pleasant, Kathi and Dean Richards, and Sandra Epling of South Charleston. He is also survived by grandchildren, Stacy Jones Rieger of Winfield, WV, Cody Richards of South Charleston, WV, Morgan Richards of Savannah, Georgia, Brianna and Ian Greenlee of Sutton, WV, and Jaden and Jonathon Rhea of Point Pleasant; one great-granddaughter, Sydnee Adkins of Winfield; and two sister, Dorothy Fultz of Columbus, Ohio, and Dee Stephens of Bidwell, Ohio who was also his special caregiver. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. Patricia Henson and Rev. Paul Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Suncrest Cemetery at Point Pleasant, where Military graveside rites will be given by the West Virginia Honor Guard and American Legion Post No. 23 of Point Pleasant. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Pleasant Valley Home Health and Hospice Services, 1011 Viand Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550. The family would like to thank Dr. Harold Ayers and Pleasant Valley Home Health and Hospice for their kindness, care and compassion that was given. "He fought a good fight and he has won the race."
