Cleo M. Lieving, 84, of Point Pleasant, died Saturday, April 11, 2015, at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 11, 1930 in Couch, WV, a daughter of the late Howard L. Birchfield and Audra O. (Lewis) Birchfield. Cleo was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant where she was active with the United Methodist Women. She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1948, a member of Col. Charles Lewis Chapter D.A.R. and lifetime member of the Point Pleasant River Museum. Cleo was a former employee of the Point Pleasant Register and co-owner of Lieving Plumbing and Heating. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Donald L. Birchfield. She is survived by her husband, Norman D. Lieving of Point Pleasant; two daughters, Elizabeth Barker and Linda Lieving of Point Pleasant; four grandchildren, James (Kelly Nicole) Pflaum of Raleigh, NC, Nathan Pflaum of Austin, TX, Kelly (Robert) Thompson of Raleigh, NC and Katie (Ryan) Davidson of Branchland, WV; and two great grandchildren, Robbie Thompson and forthcoming arrival of baby Pflaum at the end of May. A graveside service and burial will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at New Lone Oak Cemetery in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Jim Kelly officiating. There will be no visitation.
