Conda Sue “Connie” (Baldwin) Willard, 67, of Charleston, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2025, at WVU Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, WV, following an extended illness.
She was born February 21, 1958, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of Richard Baldwin and the late Loshie Gay (Shamblin) Baldwin. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Woodrow Willard and brother, Dennis Ray Baldwin.
Connie graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, class of 1976 and worked as an Accountant for her husband’s business, Willard Builder. She was a life-time member of Sovine Memorial Church of God and attended the Charleston Mountain Mission Church in Charleston. Connie was very energetic and determined to get things done. She also took great pride in her work and maintaining her home as her children grew. Connie enjoyed life, listening to music, and would frequently tell others of her testimony as she battled cancer, and her desire to see her children graduate. Her prayers were answered, as she defeated cancer, saw her children graduate and was able to be around for her grandchildren.
Survivors in addition to her father, Richard, include her son, Marvin Willard (Crystal Cooper) of Charleston, WV; daughter, Tiara Kirkland and her husband, Christopher of FL; grandchildren, Noah Willard, Christopher Kirkland Jr., Cameron Kirkland, Landyn Willard; one great grandson, Christopher Kirkland III; brother, Ronald (Debbie) Baldwin of Charleston; sister, Pamela Baldwin of Charleston and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service will be 7 p.m., Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Charleston Mountain Mission Church, Charleston, WV, with Pastor Kenny Petry officiating. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 5 p.m. until time of the service on Monday, at the church.
