Cora "Bootie" Rainey

Cora "Bootie" Rainey, 90, of Point Pleasant, WV, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 17, 1924, in Gallipolis Ferry, WV, a daughter of the late Henry Martin Yester and Ollie (Northup) Yester. Cora was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Fredrick Rainey; a son, Tony Rainey; a son-in-law, Terry Steven Ross; a sister, Frances Wallis and one brother, Otho Yester. She is survived by three daughters, Connie L. Rainey of Point Pleasant, Kitty L. Rainey of Point Pleasant and Patsy A. Ross of Gallipolis Ferry; one son and daughter-in-law, Timmy and Lisa Rainey of Fraziers Bottom; a daughter-in-law, Joann Rainey of Gallipolis Ferry; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Wamsley of Point Pleasant. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Chuck Stansberry officiating.
