Curtis G. Harris, 90, formerly of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Autumn Leaves in Orland Park, Illinois. He was born May 31,1935 in Racine, Ohio, a son of the late Grover Washington and Elizabeth (Nease) Harris.
Curtis was the fourth youngest in a family of fourteen children. He married Doris Lee Buckle on August 4, 1958 who preceded him in death on January 19, 2021 after 62 years of marriage. Curtis is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Michael Lenzini and his grandsons Gianni and Francis Lenzini of Chicago. He is survived by his sisters Dorothy Ford of Lima, OH, Jane (Jack) Bartenschlag of Columbus, OH, his brother Carroll (Sue) Harris of Lima, OH. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Dorothy Kinnaird of Point Pleasant, WV and brother-in-laws, Michael (Beverly) Buckle of Apple Grove, WV, and Owen Allbright of Point Pleasant, WV, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Clarence, Clifford (Minnie), Carl (Lois) Harris; and sisters, Isabel (Robert) Lewis, Stacil (Floyd) Bogard, Betty (Norman) Frazier, Ruth (Glen) Burgoon, June (Paul) Wagner and Macil and Letha Harris. Also, brother-in-laws, Don Ford, and Bracy Kinnaird, sister-in-law Carol Allbright, nephews Scott Harris, Jeff Harris and Bryan Buckle, and mother and father in-law Beulah and Lester Buckle.
Curtis was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. He was a Ford Motor Company retiree and had worked at the Ford Lima, Ohio Engine Plant. He loved country music, playing Scrabble, pool and other games, gardening and being with family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Grace Baptist Church in Point Pleasant with Pastor Jonathan Pinson officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. before the service. Burial will follow in the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant.
