Darlene Kay (Nibert) Wedge, 65, of Point Pleasant, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at home. She was born June 3, 1947, in Gallipolis, OH, a daughter of John William Nibert Sr. of Point Pleasant and the late Betty Lou (Sauer) Nibert. Darlene was a member of Christ Episcopal Church of Point Pleasant and worked as a bridal consultant. In addition to her father, she is survived by one son, Matt Wedge (Christina) of Barboursville; two step children, Brian Wedge and Dee Ann Clendenin (Josef) both of Point Pleasant; two grandchildren, Megan and Kalyn Wedge; three step-grandchildren, Nathan Wedge, Ashtyn Wedge and Morgan Groves; two sisters, Karen Martin of Point Pleasant and Mikki Reardon of Columbus, OH; one brother, John William Nibert Jr. (Marsha) of Point Pleasant; father of her son, Jimmy Joe Wedge; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Speaker Tim Cottrill officiating. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
