David "Pete" William Denney

David "Pete" W. Denney, 56, of Gallipolis Ferry, died Friday, July 13, 2012 at home. He was born December 21, 1955, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late John William Denney and Marcena (VanSickle) Denney. Pete was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1974. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Blain; three brothers, Wayne Blain, Harry Rochlivitch, and Murphy Rochlivitch; and a grandson, David Alan Meeks. Pete is survived by his son, David Shawn (Tesa) Meeks of Gallipolis Ferry; one granddaughter, Leslie Ann Meeks of Gallipolis Ferry; two sisters, Mary Denney Hanna of Apple Grove, and Gerry Blain McAllister of Gallipolis, Ohio; two brothers, Larry (Barbara) Blain of Gallipolis Ferry, and Glenville L. (Violet) Blain of Apple Grove; and special friends, Sissy and Bobby Davis of Gallipolis Ferry. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Howard Blain officiating. Burial will follow in Beale Chapel Cemetery at Apple Grove. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home Wednesday.
