Deborah Ann Barnette

Deborah Ann (Holley) Barnette, 60, of Ripley, WV, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, OH, following an extended illness.

She was born May 17, 1965, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Lloyd "Junior" and Hazel (Bailey) Holley.

Deborah was a 1983 graduate of Hannan High School and had recently worked in the Pot Room at Constellium in Ravenswood. She attended Balls Chapel Church in Ashton, WV and previously coached the girls’ basketball team at Hannan High School. She had an artistic side and enjoyed traveling, basketball, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and the wolf pack.

Survivors in addition to her parents, include children, Brittani Barnette of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, Jonathan Barnette and wife, Morgan of Red House, WV; brother, Lloyd Holley and his wife, Angie of Ashton, WV; grandchildren, Braydon and Logan McQueen, Karaline Barnette; special friends, James Barnette II of Gallipolis Ferry, Paula Prunty of Ripley, Trish Young of Ashton, Donna Mayes of Applegrove, Terri Board of Ripley, Denise Payne of Point Pleasant, Kelly McCarty of Applegrove and many additional friends and extended family.

Funeral service will be 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Mark Mayes officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4:30 p.m. until time of the service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
