Donna Lee Cochran

Donna Lee Cochran, 83, passed away on May 7, 2026, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV, surrounded by the love of her children. Born on August 30, 1942, in Beckley, WV, Donna was the eighth child of eleven children born to the late Troy and Minnie (Phillips) Porter.

Donna was a long-time resident of Point Pleasant, WV, where she lived with her late husband, Julius Cochran, whom she married in 1973. She is also preceded in death by six children: Mary Cochran Rusk, Johnny Cochran, Janet Cochran Hall, Larry Cochran, Bobby Cochran, and Michael Cochran, as well as nine siblings.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Debbie Staats (Terry), of Mason, WV, her son, Donald Cochran (April), of St. Louis, MO as well as daughters-in-law Barbara Blazer and Eva Cochran, both of Point Pleasant, WV. Donna leaves behind sixteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind her sister Pat Harstad, of Alameda, CA.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, 2226 Jackson Avenue, Point Pleasant, WV. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 1:00pm at Little Tavie Old Regular Baptist Church, 181 Chapel Dr, Point Pleasant, WV, with Elder Edward Lee Smith officiating. Burial will take place immediately after services at Little Tavie Old Regular Baptist Church.
