Earl Ray Foglesong

Earl Ray Foglesong, 91, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025.

He was born March 31, 1934, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late Charles and Marie (Riffle) Foglesong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Marie (Hatfield) Foglesong; twin sister, Carolyn Roush and one brother, Howard Louis Foglesong.

Earl graduated from Point Pleasant High School and West Virginia University. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Goodyear with 30 plus years of service. Earl was a lifetime farmer and attended Jordan Baptist Church in Gallipolis Ferry, WV.

Survivors include his son, Dan Foglesong and his wife, Sharon of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; grandchildren, Drew Foglesong of Gallipolis Ferry, Danielle Hitt and her husband, Jarred of Gallipolis Ferry; one great granddaughter, Everly Joy Hitt of Gallipolis Ferry; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Janie and Bill Bateman of Gallipolis Ferry and sister-in-law, Joan (Hatfield) Baird of Gallipolis Ferry.

Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Beale Chapel Church Cemetery, Apple Grove, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the funeral home.
