Eli H. "Mousie" Siders, 85, of Henderson, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. He was born November 19, 1928, in Henderson, WV, a son of the late Robert H. Siders Sr. and Jennie B. (Willet) Siders. Mousie was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War and retired from the Ohio River Company. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 23 of Point Pleasant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Harry Kim Siders; one grandson, Timothy Eli Siders II; sisters, Jennie Bell Stewart, Mary Hazel Siders, Millie Mae Bonecutter, Anna Frances Siders and Nannie Marie Nibert; and two brothers, Robert Siders Jr. and Worthy "Smokie" Siders. He is survived by his son, Timothy Eli (Lorie) Siders of Gallipolis Ferry; one daughter, Nora Kathy Siders of Henderson; his lifelong companion, Anna Mead of Henderson; three sisters, Jessie Ann Rulen, Ruby Irene Huddleston and Emma Lee McCarty; a granddaughter, Kim (Siders) Dial; and three great-granddaughters, Emily, Erin, and Raighanne. Also surviving are step-grandchildren, Brooke, Tabitha and Wyatt Dean; and step-great-grandson, Connor Dean Stone; stepson, Jeff (Lisa) Mead; grandchildren, Annie (Cliff) Lear; great-grandchildren, Mariah Hill, Nick Hill, Christian Hill and Lilly Lear; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Bert Flora officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry, with military graveside rites given by American Legion Post No. 23 of Point Pleasant.
