Everett “Bubby” Mead Rayburn Jr. went to be with the lord on November 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife of 52 years and close family.
Born on January 27, 1935, in Point Pleasant, WV, Bubby grew into a man defined by his faith and his work ethic. He carried his Christian faith close to his heart, allowing it to guide his decisions and molding his character. At an early age he made a promise with the lord that if he ever failed in life or in business that it would not be due to laziness.
Son of the late Everett Mead Rayburn Sr. and Edith Eva (McCarty) Rayburn. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Deloris Beckner, Mary Beckner, Carol Walker and brother Donald “Sammy” Rayburn.
Survived by his wife Pam Rayburn, and children Donald Rayburn, Sherry Rayburn, Michael (Celesty) Fielder and Jamie (Sarah) Fielder. Grandchildren Zachariah Rayburn, Charmane (Josh) Schoonover, Letisha (Chris) Lee, James (Caleigh) Fielder, Aaron Fielder, Levi Fielder, Ian Fielder and Elijah Fielder. Bubby spent most of his life driving a semi-truck. Crisscrossing highways and back roads with the same steady determination that defined his life. His logbooks told stories of early mornings, long nights, and countless miles, but he never complained — he simply took pride in doing the job well. Every trip started the same way; coffee cup placed on the dash and nothing but the open road in front of him. He was truly at peace behind the wheel of a truck.
He was a successful business owner alongside his wife. Owning Rayburns Market in Kanagua, Ohio and Jericho Self Storage in Point Pleasant, Wv. He found pride in knowing he was helping the community and always put his customers first.
Later in his life he enjoyed operating his equipment, watching westerns and spending time with his great-grandchildren.
