Franklin W. Brinker

Franklin W. Brinker, 64, of Point Pleasant died Friday, August 25, 2006 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born March 18, 1942 in Ravenswood, WV to the late Bert F. and Ora M. (Graham) Brinker Bacon. Frank was a member of the Pomeroy Baptist Church, had retired from the Shell and Goodyear Companies with a combined 31 years of service. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran, retired from the National Guard with 22 1/2 years, a member of the American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant, and the Moose Lodge #731 of Point Pleasant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ramona Roush and Wanda Lyons. Surviving are his wife, Donna (Heinze) Brinker of Point Pleasant; son and daughter-in-law, Franklin W. Jr. and Tammy Brinker of Johnstown, Ohio; daughter, Terresa Jean Brinker and fiance Tom Stricklen and his daughter Brianna of Milton; WV, grandsons, Daniel J. Brinker and Steven A. Brinker of Johnstown; Ohio, two sisters and brother-in-law, Rita J. and Ted Keith of Cutler, Ohio and Agnes Boggess of Racine, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Harold "Butch" W. and Penny Brinker of Pomeroy, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Manning Roush of Pomeroy, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Dr. Richard Sargent officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Letart with military graveside rites given by American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant. Visitation will be Monday, August 28, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street Baptist Church building fund, 1110 Main Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.
