Freda Ann Burdette

Freda Ann Burdette, 99, of Point Pleasant, went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 19, 2014, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. She was born February 8, 1915, in Mount Alto, WV, a daughter of the late James Fredrick Fauver and Hester Ann (Baker) Fauver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George William Burdette; a granddaughter, Angela Sue Austin; brothers, Hollie Fauver and Raymond "Jack" Fauver; and sisters, Iva Yauger, Ethel Sines, Lydia Durst, Pearl Newell, Velma Cooper, Clara Thomas, Birdie Fauver, Gladys Stanley and Maxine Thomas. Freda is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia "Patsy" and Blaine Thompson of Washington, WV, Judith "Judy" Burdette of Point Pleasant and Karen and Marvin Austin of Nixa, MO; and a son and daughter-in-law, James W. "Bill" and Sheila Burdette of Salt Rock, WV. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Brian (Kelli) Thompson, Teresa (Shawn) Grogg, Jeff (Kathy) Austin, Kevin (Hilary) Austin, Malia (Wes) Richmond, Michael Burdette and Ashley Burdette; and eleven great grandchildren, Seth (Brittany) Grogg, Noah Grogg, Josiah Grogg, Brynn Austin, Karsen Austin, Zachary Austin, Will Austin, Canon Richmond, Victoria Richmond, Russell Burdette, and Sophia Thompson. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2014, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Bud Richmond and Pastor Jimmy Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, in Letart, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to services, at the church Friday.
