Freeman Floyd Smith

Freeman Floyd Smith, 87, of Apple Grove, WV, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Genesis HealthCare of Hurricane, WV.

Freeman was born on April 4, 1938, in Glenwood, WV, to the late Virgil Wateman Smith and Virgie Ann (Lambert) Smith.

Freeman was retired from Service Machine in Huntington, WV and was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Fraziers Bottom, WV.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patsy Ruth (Deal) Smith of Apple Grove, WV; brother, Arthur W. Smith of Glenwood, WV and multiple nephews and nieces.

Service will be 1 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Chuck Elkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove, WV.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
