Gary Loyd Cochran

Gary Loyd Cochran, 75, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 28, 1951, in Williamson, WV, a son of the late Harold and Faye (Maynard) Cochran.

Gary was a 1969 graduate of Belfry High School, Belfry, KY and retired as a Storeroom Clerk from ICL of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, with 44 years of service. He attended the Old Regular Baptist Churches. Gary was an avid coin collector and enjoyed his morning gatherings at Tudors.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon Kay “Shari” Cochran; daughter, Rebekah Cochran of Point Pleasant, WV; granddaughter, Melody Cochran of Point Pleasant, WV; brother, Gene Cochran and his wife, Kathie of Waverly, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Buster Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Point Pleasant, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of the service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
