Gary Lee Sergent

Gary Lee Sergent, 59, of Henderson,WV, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at home. He was born December 20, 1954, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Brucie Herman "Johnny" Sergent, and Julia Maxine (Halstead) Sergent. Gary was a painter by trade. He was saved on May 8, 2014. Gary is survived by his wife, Betty L. (Birchfield) Sergent, of Henderson; two sons, Gary Scott (Krystal) Sergent, of Beverly, OH, and Todd Lee (Kristin) Sergent, of Henderson; one daughter, Tabatha Stapleton, of Glenwood, WV; a sister, Patty (Steve) Hite, of Point Pleasant; one brother, Mike Sergent, of Point Pleasant; seven grandchildren; and his pride and joy, Otis, his Jack Russell Terrier. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2014, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, in Point Pleasant with Pastor Carl "Boxer" Swisher officiating.
