Gary Harmon Wilcoxen

Gary Harmon Wilcoxen, 69, of Evans, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, WV.

He was born March 18, 1955, in Fraziers Bottom, WV, a son of the late Harmon Lesley Wilcoxen and Mary Melinda (Wray) Wilcoxen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Velma Wroten and Brenda Foster; and brothers, Lonnie, Kenneth, Rex, and Lesley Wilcoxen.

Gary was a self employed mechanic who enjoyed spending time with his family and hunting.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary V. and LuAnn Wilcoxen of Point Pleasant; a daughter, Tonya M. Gibson of Milton, WV; grandchildren, Heather (Leslie) Schwartz of Letart, Macy Nicole Gibson of Milton and Macinzie Paige Gibson of Milton; a great-grandson, Adrian Lee Schwartz of Letart; sister, Alice Akers of Pliny, WV; brother, Rick Wilcoxen of Fraziers Bottom; companion, Alice Marie Comer of Patriot, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be at Noon Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Calvin Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Fraziers Bottom.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home.
