George Paul Rorrer

George Paul Rorrer, 84, of Bidwell, OH, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at home. He was born January 26, 1938, in Letart, WV, a son of the late George I. Rorrer and Lucille (Wells) Rorrer. George served his country in the United States Air Force for 21 years.He retired civil service as a federal firearms instructor.Georgewas also a licensed gunsmith and former owner of Rorrer Waterproofing in Charleston, SC. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn (Sturgeon) Rorrer of Bidwell; sons, Robert H. Rorrer of Jiaojiang, China and Gary P. Rorrer of Waianae, Hawaii; a daughter, Leah R. Wheeler of Gallipolis, OH; grandchildren, Samantha Townsend, Bryan Townsend and Savannah Wheeler; a special sister, Alice (Don) Hopson; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. At the family's request there will be no public services.Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
