Hallie Marie (Odom) Satterfield

Hallie Marie (Odom) Satterfield, 88, of Letart, WV, died Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Point Pleasant. She was born September 20, 1926, in Ralls, Texas, a daughter of the late Barney Odom and Haley (Whited) Odom. Marie was a Christian of Baptist faith, and attended various area churches. She was a retired real estate agent from Golden West Realty in Magdalena, New Mexico. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sue Chaney; and one brother, Barney Odom Jr. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Thomas Satterfield of Letart, WV; her children, Douglas Alton Chaney of Henderson, TX, Sherie Marie Chaney (Mike) Ostrowski of Tualatin, OR and Kelly Dean Chaney of Tyler, TX; and three stepchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Pat (L.J.) Foster of Lubbock, TX; and three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. There will be no local services. A service and burial will be held in Tualatin, OR, at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home, in Point Pleasant.
