Herman Richard Stephens

Herman Richard Stephens, 78, of West Columbia, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Lakin Hospital in West Columbia, WV. He was born March 11, 1936, in Leon, a son of the late Irvin A. Stephens and Opal (Rollins) Stephens. Herman was retired from the WV Malleable Iron Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret (Plants) Stephens; and three brothers, Owen, Dean, and Ray Stephens. Surviving are a son, Travis Stephens; two sisters, Bernice (Grover) Fultz, of Cottageville, WV and Edna Seberig, of Evans, WV; and one brother, Walter Stephens, of Leon. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, May 12, 2014, at the Lakin Chapel in West Columbia, with Pastor Johnny Hayman officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakin Cemetery.
