Ida Mae Jeffers

Ida Mae Jeffers 87, of Southside, WV, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at her home. She was born April 2, 1925, in Southside, a daughter of the late Noah Clarence Hudson and Sarah (Hopson) Hudson. Ida Mae was a homemaker and member of Harmony Baptist Church at Southside, WV. She thought of her church family as her own extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Clayton Jeffers; two daughters, Janet Louise Watson and Agnes "Lynn" Ferguson; two sons, Clinton Jeffers and John R. Jeffers; a grandson, Allen Jeffers; and a great granddaughter, Alexis Warden. Ida Mae is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and Danny Stanley of Southside, Debbie and Roger McDade of Southside, Sarah Katherine and Larry Leport of Henderson, Karen Sue and Rodney Dill of Southside, and Terry Jean and Greg Mundell of Southside; three sons and daughters-in-law, James P. and Frances Jeffers, Allen L. and Delores "Irene" Jeffers, and Dearl E. Jeffers all of Southside; and son-in-law, Charles Watson of Point Pleasant. She was blessed with 29 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and was expecting 2 more great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. Fred McCallister and Rev. David Radcliff officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Southside. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.wilcoxenfuneralhome.com.
