Iona Renee Howard

Iona Renee Kiser Howard, 64, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2026, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, OH, after a lengthy illness.

She was born June 5, 1962, in Gallipolis, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ferrel Virgil “Lit” Kiser and Belva Imogene (Kouns) Kiser.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, John Howard; brother, Ralph Kiser; brothers-in-law, Mark and Tammy Howard and sister-in-law, Carol Howard.

She is survived by her sister, Sheri Lynn Kiser of Columbus, Ohio; step-daughter, Tiffany Golob-Brondhaver of Batavia, Ohio; three step grandchildren, Kyler Robinson, Landric Brondhaver and Lanie Brondhaver all of Batavia; sister-in-law, Peggy Lewis of Williamsburg, Ohio and brother-in-law, Robert Howard of Williamsburg, Ohio.

Renee worked as a beautician locally for many years. She enjoyed traveling, painting and spending time with her many friends, family members and her pets. She loved family reunions and connecting with others on social media.

Renee was a long-time member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant.

Service will be 1 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Doug Hendrixson officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 12 p.m. until time of the service on Friday, at the funeral home.
