Ister Richard Mowrey Jr

Ister Richard Mowrey Jr., 66, of Point Pleasant, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at Pleasant Valley Hospital.He was born December 24, 1951, in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Ister Richard Mowrey Sr. and Betty Brooks (Doolittle) Mowrey.Richard served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and retired from Boilermakers Local 667, Winfield, WV.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Elijah Mowrey.He is survived by his wife, Pamela K. Mowrey of Point Pleasant; a daughter, Grace Mowrey of Leon; one son, Richard L. Mowrey of San Francisco, CA; a granddaughter, Elizabeth DeWeese; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda E. and Kenneth Ashby of Lexington, NC and Kay E. and Russ Williamson of Point Pleasant.A private family graveside service and burial will be in the Mowrey Family Cemetery in Leon, WV.Condolences may be expressed to the family and memories may be shared by visiting www.wilcoxenfuneralhome.com.
