James Keith Shinn, 84, of Charleston, formerly of Point Pleasant, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at home.He was born May 11, 1929, in Leon, WV, a son of the late Glenna Shinn and Audrey (Jividen) Shinn.Keith was a member of Bellemead United Methodist Church, in Point Pleasant. He graduated from Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1947, and served his country in the United States Army. For many years, he had been co-owner of Shinn's Tractor Sales in West Virginia and Ohio.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Claudia Prunty, Bernice Graham, Faye Smith, and Reba Smith; and six brothers, Lowell Carroll Shinn, Byron Dayton Shinn, Donald Shinn, Herman Shinn, Clare Shinn, and Paul Shinn.He is survived by his wife, Frankie L. (Lucas) Shinn, of Charleston; a daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Kent Ehman, of Charleston; two granddaughters, Lauren A. Mabe, and Elizabeth M. Mabe, of Vail, CO; one sister, Betty Capehart, of New Haven; and three sisters-in-law, Patsy Shinn, of Point Pleasant, Lois Shinn, of Leon, and Grace (Buster) Hawk, of Charlotte, NC.A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Carroll McCauley officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery in Point Pleasant, where military graveside rites will be given by the West Virginia Army Honor Guard.
