James Guy Pullins Sr., 79, of Point Pleasant, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. He was born September 20, 1934, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late James Guy Pullins and Gertrude (Luckeydoo) Pullins. James was a retired tree trimmer with Banks Tree Service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Pullins and Arthur Pullins; and four sisters, Pearl Cogar, Eastah Hudson, Marie Fridley, and Linda Beaver. James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Naomi (Hoschar) Pullins; one daughter, Naomi (Charles) Vaughan of Leon, WV; three sons, James Jr. (Darlena) Pullins of Point Pleasant, William "Bub" (Lisa) Pullins of Point Pleasant, and Johnny (Crystal) Pullins of Apple Grove, WV; nine grandsons; two granddaughters; five great grandsons; and one great granddaughter. Also, surviving are one sister, Beatrice "Bea" (Jr.) Biars of Gallipolis, OH; special friends, Robbie and Linda Davis; and his baby K-9 "Pudgy". A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Dave Shirer officiating. Burial will follow in the Eckard Cemetery at Point Pleasant. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service Saturday, at the funeral home.
