Jerry Dale Cornell

Jerry Dale Cornell, 78, of Apple Grove, WV, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at home, with family by his side.

He was born December 17, 1946, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Clifford Leonard and Lydia Ann (Siders) Cornell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, Edward “Bob”, Danny, Tommy, and Warren Cornell and three sisters, Phylis Friend, Lydia Arthur, and Ada Chandler.

Jerry was a retired Carpenter and a member of Balls Chapel Church in Ashton, WV, where he also served as a Deacon. He enjoyed raising chickens, and gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Debbie (Haffner) Cornell; son, Gene Cornell of Apple Grove; brothers, Leonard (Vivian) Cornell of Huntington, Mike (Nancy) Cornell of Apple Grove and sister, Betty Drew of Cleveland, OH.
