John Clifford Wiseman, 81, of Point Pleasant, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born June 30, 1932, in Rio Grande, OH, a son of the late Ernest Newton Wiseman and Alice Evelyn (Clyse) Wiseman. John was a member of the Mason County Economic Development Committee. He was a retired Real Estate Broker with Wiseman Real Estate of Point Pleasant and had previously worked as a loan officer with the Ohio Valley Bank and was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his two sons, Jay Wiseman (Leslie) of Pittsboro, NC and Jonathon Wiseman (Lindsey) of Point Pleasant; one daughter, Cyndi Roberts (Greg) of Ewington, OH; four special step-daughters, Teresa, Chilta, Leeann and Paula; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 11, 2013, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Jim Lusher and Speaker Clyde Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery in Ewington, OH, with military graveside rites given by the WV Army Honor Guard and the American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
