Judith Blan Dennis

Judith Blan Dennis, 84, of Point Pleasant, WV, peacefully passed away on January 9, 2026, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV.

Judy was born on May 3, 1941, in Rainelle, WV, to the late Willie Woodrow (Bill) and Dorothy Rae (Simpson) Johnson who preceded her in death.

Judy graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1959. She married Terry Dennis on June 5, 1960, who also preceded her in death on November 27, 2013, after 53 years of marriage.

She is survived by her children, Jenny Dennis of Wilmington, DE, T.D. (Linda) Dennis of Point Pleasant, WV, Joe (Bobby) Dennis of Claymont, DE, Ann (Barry) Epling of Point Pleasant, WV; brother, Dan (Becky) Johnson of Minneapolis, MN; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Aside from raising four children, Judy was employed for over 20 years at Pleasant Valley Hospital where she worked at the front desk and admitting. She made a lot of good friends there which she kept in touch with even in retirement. Mainly, she enjoyed the company of her children, grandchildren and then her great grandchildren. She loved having big family dinners with all of her family surrounding her. Judy has wonderful neighbors who checked in on her and visited with her whom she loved dearly. She loved dogs and cats and she had many pets over the years- Rocky, Ben and Ava to name a few. She loved listening to music from the 50’s but mainly her favorite was Elvis Presley. Judy will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV, with Brayden Wise officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Point Pleasant, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
