Laura Sue Bonecutter

Laura Sue Bonecutter, 71, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.

She was born October 25, 1954, in Columbus, OH, a daughter of Barbara Helen (Hatfield) Scarberry of Henderson, WV, and the late Lawrence Raymond Scarberry. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by daughter, Teresa Marie Bonecutter; sister, Denise K. Scarberry; brother-in-law, Eddie Simpkins and sister-in-law, Debbie Law.

Laura graduated from Point Pleasant High School, class of 1973. She retired from Mason County Schools as a Bus Driver with 20 years of service. Laura attended Concord Baptist Church in Henderson, WV, and volunteered at Kitty Coral and the Mason County Animal Shelter. She loved her many cats.

Survivors in addition to her mother, include her loving husband of 51 years, Charles Ray Bonecutter; sisters, Cathy Logan and her husband, Ray of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, Karen Meadows and her husband, Steven of Point Pleasant, WV; brother, Larry Scarberry and his wife, Barbara of Point Pleasant, WV; brother-in-law, Robert Law of Point Pleasant, WV; sister in law, Kathy Deckard of Point Pleasant, WV; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Service will be 6 p.m., Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday, at the funeral home.
