It is said where there is deep grief, there was great love. It is with the most profound and overwhelming sense of grief and immeasurable amount of love that we share the passing of our precious mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Linda Carol Lilly Moore of Point Pleasant, WV, on August 25, 2025, with her loving daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter by her side.
Linda was born January 5, 1950, to the late Capt. James W. and Jackie Lilly of Point Pleasant, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband of 42 years, Capt. Lyle J. Moore, Sisters, Carolyn Lilly, Delores "Dodie" Taylor, and Brothers, Bo Lilly and Garry Lilly. Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and R.P. Cale; granddaughter, Caleigh (James) Fielder; grandsons, Scott (Shawna) Cale, and Chris Cale; great-grandchildren, Harper, Rory, and Keagan Fielder, and Nevan, Gwen, and Berklee Cale; brothers, Charlie and Johnny Lilly; and several beloved nieces and nephews whom she considered "her own".
Linda was a lifelong Christian who spent her entire life devoted to loving and helping those she knew and loved. She was everyone's "mom", cheerleader, best friend, caregiver, babysitter, shoulder to lean on, and her girls' biggest fans. Linda's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, spontaneous meals out and sleepovers with her great-granddaughter, attending her great-grandchildren's many sporting events, and taking any chance she could get to spoil her "babies", Harper and Rory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you perform a random act of kindness in Linda's honor. We ask that you visit a shut-in, cook a simple meal for someone who may be ill, or run an errand for someone who may be struggling to find spare time in their busy day. This is who Linda was, she had the most loving and giving heart and spirit and was always trying to make the lives of others easier, she had a true Servant's Heart.
