Lloyd E. Keister

Lloyd E. Keister, 88, of Point Pleasant, went to be with his Lord, Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Pleasant Valley Hospital. He was born July 30, 1921, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Chauncey E. Keister and Anna M. (Wise) Keister. Lloyd was a member of the Glenwood Methodist Church, a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WWII, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #0017 of Gallatin, TN. He was also a retired supervisor with ACF Industries of Huntington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roy E. Keister. Surviving are his wife, Dayonez (Lilly) Keister of Point Pleasant; two daughters, Donna Woomer (Ed) of Point Pleasant and Terry Roeser (Bill) of Kingsport, TN; six grandchildren, Brent Woomer (Amy), Barrett Woomer (Kim), Holly Roeser, Jim Mike Hinzman (Tanya), Robbie Hinzman (Christa), Brittany Graham and 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Harris and Mary Lilly both of Huntington; one brother, Harold D. Keister (Shirley) of Morehead, KY; two special nieces, Dana Hinzman (Jim) of Bishop, GA and Jayne Graham (David) of Brandon, FL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hinzman officiating. Burial will follow in the Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove, where military graveside rites will be given by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.
