Margaret Jean Crawford, 84, of Apple Grove, WV, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born May 21, 1942, in Charleston, WV, a daughter to the late Edwin Cecil Teter Jr. and Violet Marie (Shackleford) Teter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William Wayne "Bill" Crawford; daughter, Allie Shawn Crawford; infant granddaughter, Allie Crawford Oliver; son-in-law, J.D. Adkins and sister, Jane Ann Teter.
Margaret was a member of the Ashton Baptist Church in Ashton, WV. She was a graduate of Dupont High School Class of 1960 and a homemaker.
Margaret was "Mom" to so many people, her beloved son, Jesse, who held a special place in her heart, her sweet Jesslyn, Kim (Jeff) Roach, Jeanie (Eric) Sturgeon, Becky Adkins, Cody (Shama) Canterbury, Ryan Canterbury, Luke (Cheyenne) Sturgeon, Leah (Logan) Nibert, JW Adkins, Blake Adkins, Laken Canterbury, Lily Canterbury, Landyn Canterbury, Noah Rodgers, Jamie Rodgers, Toby Sturgeon, Vera Sturgeon and Navi Canterbury; brother; Ronald Teter; special nephew, John "Sparky" (Robin) Crawford; bonus daughter, Shela Crawford and a host of other nieces, newphews, family and friends who she loved so much.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, with Pastor Brian May and Pastor Greg Barton officiating. Burial will follow in the Teter-Crawford Cemetery in Point Pleasant, WV. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
