In Loving Memory of Marie L. Knopp

Marie L. Knopp met her Savior face to face on September 11th, 2026. She had waited her entire life for that moment, and her unwavering faith carried her peacefully into eternity.

Born on March 19th, 1942, in Cape May, New Jersey, Marie was the cherished daughter of Frank Leo and Lillian Nichols. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Donald Leo of California, and by the love of her life, Howard D. “Andy” Knopp.

Together, Howard and Marie built a beautiful life grounded in faith in Jesus Christ, devotion, hard work, and steadfast love. From this union, they created a legacy that continues through their family, including their three children, Duane A. Knopp (Annette), Susan A. Grady (Ronald), and Thomas Steele (Tina). Their family grew to include twenty grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, each carrying forward the values and faith Marie instilled.

Marie’s greatest hope and prayer was that every person she met would set their hearts toward Jesus. Her faith was her lifeline, and she shared it boldly and lovingly. She reminded everyone that there is no fear in death — only trust in God. She wanted the world to know Jesus, and she faced her final moments without fear because of Him. Marie leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, family, and an unwavering trust in her Savior. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her family and friends find comfort knowing she is now with the One she loved and trusted throughout her life.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Community Christian Fellowship, 290 Trails End, Thurman, Ohio 45685.
