Mildred "Dolly" Nibert

Mildred L. "Dolly" Nibert, 84, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at home, surrounded by her family.

She was born February 9, 1941, in Hoggsett, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Irvin Martin Sr. and Voncille (Flint) Martin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mallory Greenlee; grandson-in-law, Michael James Swartzmiller; great granddaughter, Brielle Perry Rimmey; sisters, Alvena Yost, Ava Counts, Marie Richardson, Thelma Baker, Carolyn Wettelson and Debbie Martin; and brothers, Cleo Martin and Richard Martin.

Dolly was a homemaker and liked going to Sunday morning church service, quilting, bowling, working puzzles and playing cards with family. She enjoyed investing time in her eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, being a Gigi and spending any and all time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 67 1/2 years, Shirley "Shirl" Nibert of Gallipolis Ferry; children, Terry (Larry) Greenlee of Gallipolis Ferry, Tim Nibert of Charles City, IA and Vicki Caudill of Gallipolis Ferry; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Nibert of Nederland, TX; grandchildren, Devin Swartzmiller, Travis (Jodie) Nibert, Rochelle Davis (Brandon Edge), Zach (Tiffanie) Nibert, Cassie Nibert, Gretchen (Hayden) Flinner, Hunter Nibert (Rachel Hanni); great grandchildren, Ashton Doss (Dillon Long), Parker Smith, Ryleigh Nibert, Hannah Nibert, Karleigh Nibert, Mason and Levi Swartzmiller, Rush Brinager, Paxton Greenlee, Emmitt Rimmey, Reuben and Sofia Nibert; brothers, Garland (Sharon) Martin, Robert (Debbie) Martin, Archie Martin, Charles (Kay) Martin; and a sister, Judy Fidler.

In lieu of flowers, you can make donations to the Brielle Rimmey Memorial Fund at Ohio Valley Bank.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Ronnie Cremeans officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
